APPLES!

We can't get enough of apples around here!!  I've already made 2 LARGE batches of apple sauce and several apple crisps.  Oh how I love the autumn season God gives us!!  Ainsley is obsessed with them, sometimes eats 2 smalls ones daily!

Where has the year gone?!!

So, it's taken me awhile to get here, but finally I've found some time to recapture some moments of the past few months (and update Ainsley's online babybook!)
A little about Ainsley...
-she now crawls full speed (one leg up and one knee down!)
-she eats EVERYTHING!!!  She like some things on the spoon but most of the time would rather pick up food with her fingers.  She has been my little apple thief lately!  If I have the fridge open for merely 2 seconds, she is over there and in it, opens the bottom drawer, pulls out and apple and starts eating it!  We have so many apples with small teeth marks in them!  I try to grab it quickly and peel it so she can enjoy it because the skin still gags her pretty easily.
-she weighs 20 lbs, 3 oz (56th%), head measures 17 3/4" (52nd%) and is 28.5" short! (26th%)  Guess she got her Mommy's genes in the height department!
-she still doesn't know how to suck from a sippy cup, so we've just been giving her milk in a cup.  She drinks only organic whole milk now (NO MORE PUMPING!!! WAHOO!!), about 16-20oz/day in 3 bottles as well as mixed with cereal or other foods.
-she has 9 teeth!  2 of them are top molars already!
-she sleeps from 7/7:30-6:15/6:45 and takes a nap from 10-11:20 (usually!), and SOMETIMES again for a half hour around 3/4:00.

We had a WONDERFUL 1st birthday party for Ainsley.  The weather was perfect (just a little windy), but we couldn't have been happier with the day God provided for us!  There were over 45 guests at our house showering their love for Ainsley.  We were so blessed!  She loved her birthday cake, but didn't sit there enjoying it as long as we would have thought she would!  Here are (many!) pictures,

All ready for the guests!

Eddie's BBQ was amazing!!

Our precious princess

Unfortunately Ainsley didn't want to smile for any of these!

All gathered around our fire-less fire!  It was quite windy out!

She'd had enough!

Thank you to all who came and helped out!  We are so blessed to have such loving friends and family.  And thank you to God, for trusting us raise this precious little girl and for all the joy she brings!

Lucas has now started preschool, which he LOVES!  The building is shaped like an apple so he tells everyone he goes to 'apple school'.  Next year it's kindergarten - AH!!

Pete has been working a lot (when it's not raining!), which is a wonderful financial blessing.  I can't believe it is already October so we are so thankful he has work lines up for at least another month (weather permitting!).

As for me, well I've been quite nauseous and tired lately.  Reminds me of a feeling I had when pregnant with Ainsley......

After 3 pregnancy tests, 5 rounds of blood draws, much prayer and many trips to the doctor's, we are excited to announce that Ainsley will be a BIG sister come March!!  I am unsure yet whether I will have a scheduled c-section, or try for a VBAC (which I am praying and very hopeful for!!!).  I know God has a plan for this baby to come into the world somehow, I would just love to experience a more natural birth!  Please keep me in your prayers for a healthy pregnancy, and (before we know it!) delivery!  Oh and this means come February and March my parents will be welcoming THREE grandchildren! Melissa is due February 5th and Brie is due February 8th.  Can't wait for all the babies!!

Back in July on a VERY hot day, Lucas, Ainsley and I made a trip to Buttonwood Farm.  They have an amazing sunflower field and very yummy homemade ice cream!

I FINALLY brought Ainsley to the beach!  We only like 15 minutes away and it took me all summer to take her.  She wasn't quite crawling yet so she was perfectly content just sitting under the umbrella watching all the surroundings!  The water was a little cold so she didn't love it, but wasn't really afraid of it either!

Playtime!

The pipe cleaners were tickling her so she was scrunching up her nose!

Ainsley LOVES to crawl to the window as soon as she hears Daddy pull in the driveway.  It is so cute when she gets on her tippy toes so see him!

On Ainsley's birthday we went apple picking.  She can't get enough of them!!

And again!!
She loves to take all Mommy's magazines down and 'read' them!

Well, I think that's enough for now!  I'll try to post more often!
