I haven't been too great about posting often, I'm sorry!! So, for that reason you'll get a bunch of information in these recent posts!
Well, here's the lastest....My nausea is GONE!!! WAHOO!!! But...that doesn't necessarily mean I am feeling better.... A couple weeks ago I came down with a slight head cold. Knowing I have a fairly strong immune system and thinking it could possibly be allergies I hoped & prayed to wait it out without taking any medication (because I'm not supposed to take certain ones while being pregnant). However, a week later it started to get worse. My head was really congested, I had an ear ache, my throat was sore, nose running and everything. Praise God though, I didn't have a high temperature. So, I went to work this past Saturday and as the day went on my eyes started to get really really red and irritable. I kept praying 'Please God don't let it be Pink Eye!!" I was not comfortable, and mind you, not on any medications! Sunday morning I woke up and my eyes SO very swollen, I looked like a raccoon! So, I called the 'on call' Dr. and she suggested that I go to the ER and have it checked out before it got any worse, or spread if it was in fact Pink Eye. Instead of heading to church that morning, Pete, Lucas and I loaded up in the truck and drove to the ER. Thankfully the Dr. there was able to see me very quickly, and even more thankfully, it is not Pink Eye!! He put me on a safe antibiotic for the baby to heal both my eyes and cold and said it should get better soon. Well, here it is about a week later and I can FINALLY say I am SLOWLY starting to feel better. As bad as it was I wish I took a picture of my eyes so I can look back on it, but I didn't take any. What is this baby doing to me?!! My immune system and entire body seem to have shut down!! So, with all this going on I have been walking around on pins and needles wondering how much of it will affect the baby. I mean my nightly coughing attacks cannot be good for that little one!
This past Tuesday Pete and I went to my 20 week appointment. I was so nervous and just wanted to hear that little heartbeat and be assured that all was well. Well, all is well. I need to be trusting in God more - geesh!! The doc again and again reassured me that my medications I am taking as well as the baby are completely healthy. He even took an ultrasound of the baby to ease our mind a little more. I was so filled with joy that my eyes swelled up and tears flowed (not helping my stuffy nose, but oh well). Our baby is doing wonderful and everything looks good! PRAISE GOD!!

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." Matthew 11:28-30
